Who We Are

We are
Fresh, pure and upbeat

Captivating audiences nationally for the past eighteen years as the Mountain Faith Band, this sibling duo, along with their band, offer a musical experience that sets them apart from other musicians.

From small town Sylva, NC, their unique blend of Country, Pop, Bluegrass and Americana, made them a household name as semifinalists on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent. Their ability to manipulate popular songs and add their own personal style immediately captivated audiences both in studio and throughout homes in America, appealing to lovers of all genres of music.

Howie Mandell of AGT said, “This IS America’s music.” Accolades and honors for the band since their debut on AGT include traveling to Doha, Qatar to play for the military, multiple appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, Pre-game show concert for Super Bowl LI at NRG Arena in Houston, TX, National Anthems for The Falcons, Panthers, 49ers, Braves and NASCAR all-star truck races, and many festivals, fairs, performing arts centers and colleges.

Rounding out their résumé, they have had the privilege of sharing the stage with legends such as Steven Tyler, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Daniels, Willie Nelson, Marty Stuart, and Dailey & Vincent.

Summer McMahan

“I can’t imagine life without music,” Summer says. And it’s easy to see why: she started playing fiddle when she was just six years old, and began traveling with her father, brother, and cousin when she was eight. Musical influences like Alison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack, and Sonya Issacs are immediately evident when she performs, and her vocal, instrumental, and songwriting talents have been recognized by the SPBGMA and IBMA. “I am so blessed to have traveled the country playing the music I love.”

Summer graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Business and Entrepreneurship. Outside of music and songwriting, Summer enjoys gardening, designing jewelry, and reporting WCU Catamount Football and Basketball for ESPN 3.

Brayden McMahan

Faith is central in Brayden’s life. “I’m so grateful to have been raised in the church – to know that Jesus Christ is my lord and savior,” he says. “Playing in churches across the country with my family has been a special experience.”

Barely a year younger than his sister, Brayden and Summer have always been close. “We do everything together,” he says. Like his sister, Brayden is an accomplished musician: he was nominated by SPBGMA for banjo player of the year.

Brayden helps run the family tire shop when he is not on the road performing. In March of 2020, he married Beth. Beth is an incredible baker, so you can catch her at the local Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings with her baked goods! They remodeled an old house in Brayden’s hometown of Sylva, NC.
